TAY COUNTRY LAUNCHES DEDICATED ONLINE RESOURCE FOR TRAVEL TRADE AND WELCOMES NEW TRAVEL TRADE SALES REPRESENTATIVE
Scotland’s Tay Country, comprising Angus, Dundee, Fife and Perthshire, have created a dedicated travel trade channel with new itineraries, content and images to assist the travel trade wishing to develop programmes and itineraries in the region.
There are four new itineraries entitled ‘Designed For…’ targeting different potential visitor groups. The short-break itineraries weave together themes of golf, cultural exploration, food and drink, adventurous activities, relaxation and new experiences. All trips include businesses which are ready to partner with tour operators, DMCs and travel agents wanting to develop programmes in Scotland.
These inspirational itineraries provide the travel trade with ready-to-use programmes. In addition, there are promotional media including photography and videos available for the travel trade to use on their own marketing channels. These materials will also be useful for operators to use in staff training to raise awareness about Tay Country.
“Jemma has a wealth of experience in Scottish tourism and is a recognised leader within the travel industry. She has worked extensively with destinations and product development, project management, marketing, sales and events” said Suzanne Cumiskey, Business Development Project Officer of Scotland’s Tay Country.
Jemma will provide support and drive development on Scotland’s Tay Country as a destination to the travel trade by promoting the new travel trade sales assets, including the newly designed itineraries, as well as assisting with the curation of bespoke itineraries.
Jemma Reid said: “I am delighted to be working closely with the inbound travel industry. This is an excellent opportunity to have a dedicated resource for Tay Country and to put this destination firmly on the operators’ map. I look forward to assisting with product and itinerary creation in this stunning region which has a wealth of tourism businesses happy to engage with the travel trade and welcome visitors from the UK and overseas.”
“The region has many outstanding experiences with excellent golf, historical castles and palaces, wonderful outdoor adventure opportunities and truly marvellous food and drink – what more could the visitor to Scotland want to experience?”
